Wow. Election season was just a lot this year. Honestly, I got a bit sick of it. How about you? Anyway, here’s a poem to remind us to be thankful.
Election Season
My wife went out one day to fetch the mail. Returned she did, hands full of politics. 'Twas known their destiny was the waste pail. Incessant text messages were their fix. Yet unconvinced, they changed their tactic still. I witnessed it! They served up lies and spin. Right to my face they carried on until Threats to my kids and shame—the last weapon. Then I remember why they wildly fussed. I have a choice; it is my vote they need. Make known your voice! The future is not lost Simply because we’re often not agreed. When thoughts go negative, blessings elude. Here we are free; that’s cause for gratitude.
